December Challenge Exceeded Goal

Yale School of Medicine is deeply committed to reducing the debt burden of its students. By providing strong financial aid and critical scholarship support, the school remains affordable and accessible for all whom wish to pursue a YSM degree.

With appreciation for his generosity, Dr. Paul Tabereaux, YSM Resident (2001-2004), Chief Resident (2005) in the Yale Primary Care Residency Program, acknowledged our efforts to advance DEI initiatives and boost calendar year-end fundraising efforts in a major way by matching ALL donations to the YSM Alumni Fund dollar-for-dollar, up to $100,000.

From November 30 through December 31, 2021, in addition to the generous $100,000 match gift from Dr. Paul Tabereaux, the Alumni Fund raised $440,000 to support the YSM student experience. To date, this is our most successful calendar year-end yet!

I feel it is an honor and responsibility to protect and further promote the diversity, equality and inclusion at Yale. My family and I are thrilled to be a part of this inaugural DEI fund

Paul Tabereaux

Thank you to our volunteers who serve as ambassadors to the Fund and thank you to all 650 of our generous donors who participated in our December challenge. YSM is strongest when alumni and friends, like you, are united in philanthropy. By giving to financial aid, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives, or both – you are helping YSM to attract the brightest and most passionate students from all backgrounds, regardless of their circumstances.
