Amanda J. Bassett, MBA, is the new director of development, alumni affairs and giving for Yale School of Medicine (YSM), effective June 26. Amanda will be YSM’s principal strategist for fundraising from alumni.
Amanda was most recently director of alumni engagement and strategic events at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College and Dartmouth Health, and prior to that, she served as its director of alumni relations. Previously, Amanda held various institutional advancement roles at The University of New Mexico School of Medicine, The University of New Mexico Foundation, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association of New Mexico.
Amanda earned a bachelor of science from Eastern New Mexico University and an MBA from The University of New Mexico. She and her husband, Hicham Chebakou, relocated to Hamden with Tuco, their 2-year-old Pug.
