Office of Global Health Education launches e-newsletter

September 16, 2020

When not limited by the COVID-19 pandemic, YSM students participate in global health clinical electives in over 10 countries and four U.S. states. Students report that these global health experiences deepen their understanding of the social determinants of health, of culture and language in the provision of health care, and of the need to advocate to diminish health disparities worldwide. The Office of Global Health Education (OGHE), created 15 years ago at YSM, recently launched an e-newsletter to highlight the transformative impact of these experiences and the accomplishments of our students, faculty, and alumni, as well as the experiences of medical students training in international settings who have completed clinical electives at Yale. The OGHE website has links to the first two newsletters.

You can help us by sending us your news, such as a global health program you have helped develop or sustain, a noteworthy publication, or an update on your career and how your global health experiences in medical school helped shape your current work, whether in the U.S. or globally. Please direct any news to the OGHE director, Anne Kellett, at Anne.Kellett@yale.edu.
