Role at Yale

Alycia Santilli is the Assistant Director of CARE. Trained as a Community Organizer, Ms. Santilli recognized the link between policy change and research and became interested in public health research as a means for advancing public policy. She began coordinating research projects at the Yale School of Public Health in 2005. She brings research skills in survey design, recruitment of hard-to-reach study participants, data collection protocol, and intervention development.

Ms. Santilli joined CARE shortly after its inception in 2007 and has since been integral in providing administrative oversight and strategic direction. Ms. Santilli is responsible for all research and other activities conducted in neighborhood settings. She directs the New Haven Health Survey, for which she trained 20 community surveyors to complete more than 1200 household surveys in 2009 and 2012.
