DeWei Li PhD, MSc
Lecturer in Epidemiology (Environmental Health)
Dr. DeWei Li's studies focus on indoor and airborne fungi, and fungal systematics. His research interests include spatial and temporal patterns of airborne fungi, relationships of airborne fungi and air quality, characterization of airborne fungal spores, indoor fungal diversity, sampling strategy of indoor fungi investigation, indoor fungal ecology, and biosystematics of hyphomycetes with a focus on Stachybotrys and allies. He is also collaborating with his colleagues to study phytopathogenic and entomopathogenic fungi. In the past he held positions at Severn Trent Laboratories P&K Microbiology services, Inc in New Jersey, Olds College in Alberta, Canada, Qingdao Bureau of Forestry, and Shandong Department of Forestry, China. Educated in China and Canada. Completed his Ph.D. at the University of Waterloo, MSc. at Lakehead University, and BSc. at Nanjing Technological College of Forest Products (Currently, Nanjing Forestry University). He spent two years for his postdoctoral research at the University of Guelph.
