Research interest:Dengue transmission in slum population

Amelia's research interests include the epidemiology of vector-borne illness, especially in settings of environmental change and social inequality. The focus of her research for the GHES Fellowship will be to continue her work studying the epidemiology of dengue in an urban slum community in Salvador, Brazil. She will work under the mentorship of Dr. Guilherme Ribeiro at Fiocruz and Dr. Albert Ko at Yale University.
