Dr. Kuang-Yao Lee is currently an Associate Research Scientist at Yale Center for Statistical Genomics and Proteomics. He received his BS and MS degrees in Mathematics at National Taiwan University in 2002 and 2005. He then completed his Ph.D. in statistics at Pennsylvania State University in 2012. His research work has been interdisciplinary, which includes solving both theoretical and real data-driven problems. His current methodological work focuses on semi- and non-parametrics in high-dimensional settings, with areas ranging over statistical inference, dimension reduction, variable selection, graphical models and causal inference; the statistical methods he has developed have been applied to different fields such as bioinformatics, genomics, proteomics, and image analysis.
