Biography

Dini Harsono is Assistant Director of the Clinical and Health Services Research Core at Yale University’s Center for Interdisciplinary Research on AIDS (CIRA) where she provides support to multidisciplinary research projects focused on HIV prevention, care, and treatment in national and international settings. She contributes to grant proposal and manuscript development, conducts literature reviews, and facilitates research collaborations. She has interest in applying mixed-methods research to examine impact of policy on HIV-related risk behaviors, and study ethical, legal, and policy challenges in HIV-related research and program implementation.

She is the coordinator of CIRA's Criminalization of HIV Exposure Work Group and has written and contributed to publications, reports, and annotated bibliographies. She also oversees CIRA's international research initiatives and leads the coordination of CIRA International Visiting Fellow Program.

Before coming to CIRA, Dini was a research associate at Keele University in England for numerous mixed-method research projects focused on addiction and psychiatric disorders. She also worked as a clinical studies officer coordinating mental health clinical trials part of the UK National Mental Health Research Network. She previously served as a peer educator and researcher at Indonesia’s first AIDS service organization, Yayasan Pelita Ilmu. Dini earned her MSc in Psychological Approaches to Health at University of Leeds, United Kingdom.
