Postdoctoral Associate Position - CDE
A postdoctoral associate position is available in the Department of Chronic Disease Epidemiology at the Yale School of Public Health, working in the lab of Dr. Andrew DeWan, to study the genetic epidemiology of asthma. The lab is currently studying the genetic underpinnings of asthma using several different experimental approaches: genome-wide association studies, whole exome and whole genome sequencing. This position seeks an individual with a strong computational background to design novel approaches for analyzing high-throughput genetic data of both existing asthma datasets and data from ongoing sequencing projects in the lab. Applicants should have a Ph.D., by the start of appointment, in genetic epidemiology, statistical genetics, human genetics, biostatistics, computational biology or a closely related discipline. Computer programming skills (e.g. C++, Perl, R) and relevant data analysis skills are a must. Please apply online and submit a cover letter including a statement of research interests, CV and contact information for three references:
Review of applications will begin on March 6, 2013 and will continue until a successful candidate is identified.
