Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Chronic Disease Epidemiology

The Department of Chronic Disease Epidemiology (CDE) in the Yale School of Public Health (YSPH) at Yale University is seeking candidates for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professorship in Chronic Disease Epidemiology.  Applicants should have a Ph.D. in epidemiology or a closely related field by the start of appointment. We are particularly interested in candidates with interests in chronic disease from a global perspective (global non-communicable diseases). We are open to all areas of chronic disease, especially cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and obesity. Potential areas of research include epidemiology, prevention, clinical trials, and translational research.

The YSPH has a long history of excellence in chronic disease epidemiology research nationally and internationally. CDE faculty members collaborate with investigators in all departments of YSPH, as well as with other faculty at the Yale School of Medicine and throughout the University. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to participate in ongoing research endeavors but will be expected to develop an independent research program. They will teach and advise Masters and PhD students.

Review of applications will begin October 15, 2013 and will continue until a successful candidate has been identified. Applicants are asked to prepare a PDF file that contains a cover letter, curriculum vitae, statement of research and teaching interests, copies of up to five recent publications and contact information for three references.  Please apply online at:
