Investigator Track Position in Biostatistics
The Department of Biostatistics in the School of Public Health at Yale University is accepting applications at the level of Associate Professor in the Investigator Track (non-tenure). This position is for a faculty member with the ability to work in a trans-disciplinary capacity, drawing together modeling and computational biology research and education in the School of Public Health. The department is interested in an investigator with bioinformatics expertise in public health research areas such as cancer epi-genetics, gene expression and gene environment interactions. Familiarity with next-generation genomic technologies, experimental design and execution would be desirable.
The investigator track position will be affiliated with the Yale Center for Analytical Sciences (YCAS), a new center under the Department of Biostatistics at the Yale School of Public Health. YCAS brings together existing academic strengths in biostatistics and epidemiology at the School of Public Health and collaborative staff to provide expertise for the design, conduct and analysis of health and health care studies, methodological development and education and training to Yale and the extended research community. The successful candidate will be expected to direct and develop a bioinformatics core within YCAS to 1) collaborate with investigators on projects at the School of Public Health and Yale School of Medicine that require bioinformatics, 2) conduct methodologic research to advance the field and 3) develop educational and training programs.
Applicants should submit an application at https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/2415 and upload a single PDF file that contains a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, names of at least three professional references, and a statement of research interests. Review of applications will commence on January 15, 2013 and will continue until a successful candidate is identified.
