Patient Financial Services

Patient Financial Services provides centralized management services to the eighteen clinical departments. Responsibilities within scope of YMG include:

  • Oversee business operations to bill and collect professional fees for clinical faculty
  • Develop, implement and follow policies and procedures
  • Direct, manage, coordinate and participate in YMG managed care agreements
  • Direct overall credentialing activities
  • Respond to the business requests and needs of physicians, clinical department administrators and other support staff
  • Direct the development and implementation of information system solutions
  • Serve as liaison between YMG and Yale-New Haven Hospital (YNHH) on collaborative projects
  • Direct and report on the YMG revenue, expenses and other related financial monitoring activities
  • Provide support for clinical operations, program planning and facilities design and construction requests.
  • Manage the implementation and monitoring of HIPAA privacy policies and procedures
  • Analyze Press Ganey patient satisfaction survey results
  • Coordinate patient advocacy efforts on behalf of YMG
