Nat King Cole may have touted those lazy days of summer, but for the team charged with implementing the Epic electronic medical records system, August is a supercharged time. The first Yale Medical Group training sessions start the middle of this month.
One of the more persuasive arguments for implementing the Epic electronic medical record application was that the immense amounts of data generated would be a “gold mine” for clinical trials. A suite of software called OnCore can now capture the data efficiently.
This year Yale Medical Group is welcoming an exciting group of talented new physicians, including Yale School of Medicine graduates and experienced clinicians from top academic centers throughout the country. Look for more introductions in the next few issues of Yale Practice.
