Paul Taheri, MD, MBA, has arrived in New Haven to take over as CEO of Yale Medical Group, and lead the practice as it adjusts its direction and strengthens its position in anticipation of health care reform. He moved into his office on a Friday and his schedule was filling up by Monday.
With the largest components of health care reform due to kick in at the start of 2014, Yale Medical Group is launching three important new initiatives designed to reduce spending, improve collections and streamline workflow throughout the practice.
Faculty, staff and patients visiting Yale Medical Group practices may find that New Haven’s Downtown Crossing project affects their regular route to the medical campus. It will help to prepare by adding time to your commutes as the two-year construction proceeds.
For Patricia Tinker, public service comes naturally: her parents felt strongly about the importance of helping others, and now all five of her siblings work for nonprofits. As a clinical practice manager in a large nonprofit, Tinker is heavily involved in service.
