YNHH changes its Epic 'go live' date

The Epic project team has changed Yale-New Haven Hospital (YNHH)’s “go-live” date to Friday, February 1, 2013. If all goes as scheduled, the hospital will begin using the full Epic suite of clinical and revenue cycle electronic medical record applications on that day. YMG’s planned migration from IDX to Epic’s practice management suite will also be moved to the 2013 date.

The hospital’s new go-live date is three months later than originally planned. It will allow the hospital to incorporate the release of a significant Epic upgrade and ensure that YNHH is not the first major hospital in the country to make this conversion.

The change will impact implementation calendars for YMG practices scheduled to go-live between November 2012 and February 2013. The Epic project team is working on this realignment, and details will be posted as soon as they are available on our Epic Ambulatory website at http://epic.yale.edu.
