Choosing an Outstanding Administrative Assistant from a pool of about 60 nominees is no easy task. All of the nominations were wonderful, several stood out, one was chosen. But the stories people submitted made one thing clear: Administrative assistants throughout the practice are making big contributions every day.

Four clinical administrators who joined Yale Medical Group in the last year are excited about helping to change the face of the practice as they take on such tasks as optimizing the new electronic medical record and bringing consistency to patient care.
In the last few months, new doctors from throughout the country have been arriving at Yale to work in endocrinology, pathology and pediatric cardiac surgery. Their skills and expertise will mean even better care for patients.
Marie-Louise Landry, MD, the director of the Clinical Virology Laboratory at Yale, originally intended to care for patients in the developing world. Instead she ended up in the lab, diagnosing viral diseases. She has seen some tremendous advances.
