Evaluation

The primary purpose of this function is to evaluate the performance and progress of all aspects of YCCI in order to improve existing programs and resources and guide the development of new initiatives to meet YCCI's growing needs. YCCI uses objective, quantifiable metrics as well as subjective and verbal evaluations in its evaluation process. Input and recommendations are provided by the YCCI External Scientific Advisory Board, the YCCI Oversight Committee, the YCCI Executive Committee, strategic planning retreats with leadership from the medical campus, targeted component reviews, and user assessment. Data is also collected in the form of progress reports, web-based electronic surveys and searches of electronic databases. In addition, YCCI utilizes expert external consultants to assist in evaluating key components of the center and to modify the evaluation program as YCCI initiatives continue to evolve and expand.

Biomedical Informatics

Together with the University, YCCI is providing input to the School of Medicine and Yale New-Haven Hospital on building and integrating a strong informatics infrastructure for patient care and clinical research. Read more...
