Associate Director of Training and Education

Susan Anderson, RN, BSN, MFA, is Associate Director for Training and Education, overseeing and conducting training and education programs for faculty and research staff across the medical school. She is responsible, in conjunction with CTSA, YCCI and Cancer Center leadership, for educating the staff concerning changes in regulations and institutional policy changes.

Ms. Anderson has been at the School of Medicine for over 25 years serving in numerous roles related to clinical research. She previously held positions as a clinical research nurse in oncology, neurology and epidemiology and overseeing quality assurance for YCCI and Yale Cancer Center. She has served and continues to serve on numerous committees, including the Yale IRB and other committees dedicated to the review and monitoring of clinical trials. She also serves on the YCCI Education Steering Committee that represents degree granting programs in clinical and translational investigation. At the national level, she has served on the Clinical Trials Recruitment and Enrollment Committee of the American Association of Cancer Institutes and acted as the Yale lead in the CTSA GCP pilot.
