Laboratory Research
Our program funds laboratory research or basic science devoted to uncovering biological mechanisms affecting women's health. These types of new discoveries - about cardiovascular disease, breast cancer, osteoporosis, depression and addictive behaviors, to name several areas of our research - inform clinical science directed toward improved treatment of both women and men.
Clinical Research
Women’s Health Research at Yale supports clinical research, conducted with human subjects. These studies develop, test and compare new interventions - as in clinical trials of new medications - as well as new technologies and therapies to better treat diseases.
Recent Grant Recipients
Women’s Health Research at Yaleawarded Pilot Project Program grants for 2011 to study breast cancer and obesity.
