WHRY Director Gives Yale Cancer Center's Grand Rounds Lecture, January 2011
Carolyn M. Mazure, Ph.D., Director of Women’s Health Research at Yale, presented “Sex and Science: Advantages to Studying Women’s Health and Gender Differences,” at noon Tuesday, January 11th in the Yale Cancer Center’s Smilow Auditorium. As sex and gender are among the most important variables to understanding biology and behavior, there is a continuing need to explore gender differences in health and disease. Mazure, Professor of Psychiatry and Psychology and Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs at Yale School of Medicine, created Women's Health Research at Yale in 1998. Vision2020 National Congress - Philadelphia, October 2010

Carolyn M. Mazure, Ph.D., Director of Women's Health Research at Yale, attended the national congress of Vision2020 delegates, representing the 50 states and the District of Columbia, in Philadelphia on October 21st and 22nd. Vision2020 is a national project with the goal of achieving gender equality by 2020 - the 100th anniversary of women getting the right to vote under the 19th Amendment. Mazure is serving as one of 13 Visionary Delegates who are assisting and advising national delegates in drafting a "Declaration of Equality." Click here for full press release.
AYA Celebration of 40 Years of Coeducation at Yale College

Carolyn M. Mazure, Ph.D., Director of Women's Health Research at Yale, was among the speakers for the Association of Yale Alumni's three-day event, "Celebrating Yale Women," which marked the 40th anniversary of women in Yale College and the 140th anniversary in Yale's graduate and professional schools.

The Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame honored Women’s Health Research at Yale Director Carolyn M. Mazure, Ph.D., at its annual induction ceremony and celebration in Hartford Oct. 29.

Biennial Conferences

Our biennial conferences draw several hundred participants from across Connecticut and neighboring states. These conferences provide new data on women’s health and feature prominent individuals as “Women of Vision” who have made significant contributions to women’s health.
