PET Imaging of the Kappa Opioid Receptor in Humans

What is the purpose of this trial?

This research study is designed to look at the function of kappa opiate receptor in the brain, its potential gender difference, and its change with age. The study will be looking at a specific subtype of the opiate receptors called the kappa opiate receptor. This subtype of the opiate receptors is believed to play a role in disorders like depression, anxiety and drug addiction.
