Yale-New Haven Hospital (YNHH) provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary, family-focused care in more than 100 medical specialty areas, and serves as the primary teaching hospital for Yale School of Medicine (YSM).

Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven

The collaboration between Yale Urology, YNHH, and Smilow Cancer Hospital consolidates all of our cancer services into “a single world-class cancer hospital” treating more than a quarter of all patients diagnosed in the state each year. Smilow conducts nearly 200 clinical trials across 12 interdisciplinary cancer programs.
Smilow Cancer Hospital is one of only 41 Comprehensive Cancer Center's certified by the National Cancer Institute, and the only one in southern New England. These facilities are national leaders in cancer research, prevention, detection, and treatment, giving patients novel treatment options and expert care.
Each of our pediatric locations is a state-of-the-art facility offering the latest diagnostic and treatment technologies. With multidisciplinary pediatric specialists and radiology on each site, patients can receive a pro-managed plan for their child in the initial visit with our doctors.

The Yale Urology Pediatrics program at Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital has been ranked among the best in the nation. The results appeared in the 2012-13 edition of "Best Children's Hospitals," published online by U.S. News & World Report.
The primary teaching school of the Yale School of Medicine, Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital offers leading-edge therapies to area children long before they are available nationwide. Pediatric Specialty Center
The Pediatric Specialty Centers in New Haven and Norwalk offer outpatient services for Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital with a focus on multidisciplinary care. The Pediatric Specialty Centers are staffed by the same renowned physicians, surgeons, radiologists, and others who staff the Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital.
The West Haven VA Medical Center provides jobs for many Yale faculty members and rotations for many residents. The center is a 259-bed acute-care facility with an active outpatient clinic. The VA is located five miles from downtown New Haven and Yale, with a convenient shuttle bus running between them.
