Director's Welcome

Welcome to the Yale School of Medicine Teaching and Learning Center (TLC).  The Center was created based on the recommendation of The Strategic Plan for Medical Education(June 2010) that we “create a Teaching and Learning Center that has dedicated resources, education experts and a clear mission to promote excellence in medical education”. We are committed to supporting and enhancing the work of our faculty who, through their teaching and other important roles provide the foundation of medical education at Yale.

Please take a moment to peruse Our Services.  You will see that we offer programs, individual consultation, access to expertise and centralized resources focusing on important areas of medical education, including curriculum development, teaching skills, assessment methodology and use of technology to enhance learning.  Designed to support and promote your work, the Center’s services will continue to evolve and expand as we learn more about your needs.  The TLC will of course also take an active role in supporting the work of rebuilding the new curriculum as described in the Report of the Curriculum Design Committee.
