Non-Cancerous Conditions

Our internationally recognized surgeons and medical experts at Yale Thoracic Surgery are committed to providing comprehensive care throughout your lifetime. While our surgeons surpass standards in thoracic oncology, lung cancer, and esophagus cancer, they also offer outstanding care for a number of benign conditions and diseases of the thoracic region, including benign chest wall tumors, paraesophageal hernia, reflux disease, achalasia, esophageal perforations, lung and pleural space infections, first rib resections, and sympathectomies among many other procedures.

As faculty of the Yale School of Medicine Department of Surgery, our surgeons are pioneers in developing surgical and curative technologies for these diseases. Highly skilled in minimally invasive surgical techniques, they can perform endoscopic thoracic procedures even in cases that would require open surgery at other locations.

At Yale Thoracic Surgery, we care deeply about your immediate and future emotional and physical well-being. That is why we take the time to answer all your questions and concerns. We want you to feel comfortable and confident with your treatment plan; our surgeons and team members will be there to support you, every step of the way.
