If you find that despite diet and exercise you still have pockets of fat that you would like to get rid of, liposuction can help. Liposuction is one of the most popular solutions to remove stubborn, excess fat from almost anywhere in the body. The most common areas for liposuction fat removal include the legs, hips, buttocks, abdomen, upper arms, face, and neck. This procedure is often combined with other body contouring surgeries to reshape and slim areas of the body that need to be tightened.
At the Yale Cosmetic Surgery Center, we can help you remove irregularities of fat build up beneath the skin or reduce areas that exercise and diet have not helped minimize.
Liposuction can be performed in a variety of ways. Our internationally recognized surgeons are highly skilled in the most current liposuction procedures. We will review your body contouring goals and discuss which procedure will help you achieve your desired results. We will also be sure you understand what to expect before, during, and after your surgery. With 3D imaging technology, our surgeons can simulate the proposed outcome of liposuction so that you can see the results before the surgical process. It also allows us to make any adjustments to discrepancies in the surgical plan.
What To Expect:
Liposuction is frequently performed under general anesthesia as an outpatient surgery. The results are immediate and dramatic right after surgery, but they continue to improve during the months following surgery as your skin shrinks to the new contour of your body.
When you express interest in a specific study, the information from your profile will be sent to the doctor conducting that study. If you're eligible to participate, you may be contacted by a nurse or study coordinator.
If you select a health category rather than a specific study, doctors who have active studies in that area may contact you to ask if you would like to participate.
In both cases, you will be contacted by the preferred method (email or phone) that you specified in your profile.
