Laryngeal Cancer

Laryngeal cancer refers to cancer of the larynx, or voice box. The larynx is located at the top of the trachea, or wind pipe. The larynx contains two muscles, called the vocal cords, which vibrate to create speech. The larynx also helps prevent food from entering the lungs. Cancer of the larynx can affect the voice box and the vocal cords.
