Acinic Cell Carcinoma (also Acinar / Acinous Cell Carcinoma)

Acinic cell carcinoma is a rare type of salivary gland cancer. Only about 6 to 10 percent of all salivary gland cancers are acinic cell carcinoma. These tumors tend to grow slowly, but if not treated early or removed completely, they can spread to major organs, such as the lungs.
