If you require surgery as a result of anorectal cancer or a benign gastrointestinal disease, you should feel confident in the skills and experience of your surgeon. Our mission at Yale Gastrointestinal Surgery is to provide you with state-of-the-art care in the most supportive and patient-centered environment possible.
Our internationally renowned surgeons and gastrointestinal specialists are highly experienced in both traditional and minimally invasive techniques. They are among the best in the world at surgically treating a full range of abdominal, gastrointestinal, and colorectal conditions and diseases, even the most complex cases or conditions requiring correction from a previous surgery.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary specialists within Yale, and throughout the northeast and the rest of the United States, our program provides the most comprehensive, leading-edge diagnostic, surgical, and medical treatment technologies available.
As faculty of the Yale School of Medicine Department of Surgery, our surgeons are at the forefront of the latest breakthroughs in research and medicine. They are pioneers in the latest surgical treatments including the innovative procedure called Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery (NOTES). NOTES is a minimally invasive procedure that requires absolutely no external incisions for appendectomies and epidectomies, allowing our patients to have dramatically accelerated healing times and significantly reduced postoperative discomfort.
