At Yale Cardiac Surgery, our internationally renowned, award-winning surgeons and team of specialists are as compassionate as they are skilled. We are highly experienced at treating all cardiac conditions, regardless of type or severity. We offer the most advanced, minimally invasive cardiac surgical programs in the region, including the use of the da Vinci surgical robotic system, minimally invasive aortic and mitral valve repair/replacement, and the only two FDA-approved percutaneous aortic valve replacement devices in the United States. Finally, we have developed expertise in the surgical treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation.

As faculty of the Yale School of Medicine Department of Surgery, our surgeons are leaders in leading-edge research in areas such as aortic surgery, cardiac transplantation, mechanical cardiac assist/artificial heart devices, and valve repair, as well as vascular biology and transplantation immunology, including the pathogenesis of coronary arteriosclerosis. They continually implement the latest evidence-based medicine and surgical techniques, offering patients innovative treatment strategies.
