Congratulations to Sreeganga Chandra, INP Associate Professor of Neurology and Neuroscience, who was the recipients of the 2024 Graduate Mentor Award in Biological and Biomedical Sciences.

Lisa Korn, MD, PhD, instructor of medicine (rheumatology, allergy and immunology) has been selected to receive the 2024 Iva Dostanic, MD, PhD, Physician-Scientist Trainee Award.

For the past six years, Valerie Reinke, PhD, has served as vice chair of the Department of Genetics, and since July, she has held the role of interim chair.

The national directive marks a major milestone in a yearslong effort driven by the research and advocacy of Lori Bruce, associate director of Yale’s Interdisciplinary Center for Bioethics, supported by the Institution for Social and Policy Studies.

Yale Cancer Center annual Conclave in New Haven, March 26, 2024 include research and clinical awards. The four research awards are for: Clinical Cancer Research, Translational Science Research, Population Science Research, and Basic Cancer Research. Nine other awards are granted, including the Ruth McCorkle Oncology Advanced Practice Provider Award, the Class of '61 Cancer Research Awards, Clinical Excellence Award, Mentorship Excellence Award, Teaching Excellence Award, Service Excellence Award, Director's Awards, the Leadership in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Yale faculty and trainees will present clinical research at the upcoming American College of Cardiology Scientific Meeting.
