What to Do
The Sexual Misconduct Response website is the University's central informational resource. If you are a student and have been subject to sexual misconduct of any kind—or if you simply have questions or concerns—you may contact Yale's Sexual Harassment and Assault Response & Education Center (SHARE). Faculty, students, staff, and trainees may contact any member of the YSM Grievance Board on Sexual Misconduct for guidance or to lodge an informal complaint. The University-Wide Committee on Sexual Misconduct is an alternate venue for information and informal complaints and is the only venue for formal complaints. Interns and residents employed by Yale-New Haven Hospital and other affiliates have additional options explained on this website.
Anyone in the community who is uncertain of his or her options, or simply needs help, may call the SHARE Center at (203) 432-2000. If you are in an emergency or immediate danger, call 911 or the Yale Police Department at 203-432-4400.
