Dr. Reach is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and fellowship trained in advanced foot and ankle reconstruction. He has extensive experience in surgical management for the lower extremity. Dr. Reach is one of the few surgeons certified in all available total ankle replacements. He is a pioneer in the use of advanced musculoskeletal ultrasound for soft-tissue and sports pathology. In late 2008 he was asked to testify to Congress on the importance of foot and ankle care. Dr. Reach has been issued a number of patients for his work on cartilage repair, musculoskeletal imaging and ligament/tendon enhancement. Recently, his start-up company Advanced Orthopaedic Technologies (AOT) secured venture capital funding. AOT is currently recruiting patients with arthritis and focal cartilage defects for custom cartilage transplant repair.
Despite his interest in advancing the science and practice of orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Reach's guiding philosophy is that the needs of the patient come first.
