Biography

I am a neurologist who specializes in neuromuscular disorders. This includes myasthenia gravis, peripheral neuropathies, myopathies and disorders of the motor neuron.

I have been on the Yale Neurology faculty for the past 20 years and am Director of the Neuromuscular Medicine Program. This involved being section Chief in the Department of Neurology and at Yale-New Haven Hospital. We take care of both inpatient and outpatient patients with neuromuscular disorders.

I am on the national board of the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, Guilliain-Barre Syndrome Foundation International and a member of the
peripheral nerve society and muscle study group.

I have published clinically and performed clinical trials in all areas of neuromuscular disorders.

I am currently interested in the treatment and pathogenesis of myasthenia gravis and inflammatory peripheral nerve and muscle disease.
