History

The STEP Clinic is based at the Connecticut Mental Health Center (CMHC) and was established in April 2006. The center is a collaborative effort between the Yale Department of Psychiatry, and the Department of Mental Health and Addictions Services (DMHAS). The clinic evolved from Yale’s pioneering PRIME (Prevention through Risk Identification, Management and Education) Clinic which is focused on identifying and treating those who are at high risk for a psychotic illness.
