Alcoholism Treatment Center
Mission
The Alcoholism Treatment Center conducts clinical research trials to investigate pharmacological treatments for alcohol dependence and other comorbid disorders. We are testing the effectiveness of novel medications on reducing the craving for alcohol and alleviating symptoms of co-occurring psychiatric illnesses. Our clinic is currently conducting a number of treatment trials which focuses on alcohol dependence; while others are designed to treat individuals with comorbid illnesses of alcohol dependence and major depressive disorder, schizophrenia, and post-traumatic stress disorder. In addition to our treatment studies, we are also conducting research on stress reactivity in participants with alcohol dependence and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Who is eligible?
