Seth R Axelrod PhD
Associate Professor of Psychiatry; Dialectical Behavior Therapy Team Leader at the Yale-New Haven Psychiatric Hospital Intensive Outpatient Program
Biographical Info

I am very interested in training clinicians in personality disorders and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). I am particularly interested in helping therapists observe personal limits to improve treatment alliance, therapy effectiveness, and therapist satisfaction, and to reduce therapist burnout. In addition to my work at Yale, I am a trainer/consultant with Behavioral Tech, LLC, an organization developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan to disseminate DBT and other empirically supported therapies. Each spring I co-chair a conference on Borderline Personality Disorder in partnership with the National Education Alliance for BPD and co-provided by the Yale University School of Medicine, Yale-New Haven Psychiatric Hospital, and the Yale Stress Center.
