Tara is a Research Associate in the Department of Psychiatry and serves as the Project Manager for several of Dr. Sullivan’s studies. Tara has Master’s Degree in Social Work and Public Health from the University of Washington. She has over twelve years of experience in both clinical interviewing and project management and coordination in Women’s Health Research. Her prior research was focused on Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), Cardiovascular Disease and Substance Use in women. For the past two years she has been involved in several National Institute of Health and National Institute of Justice funded studies focused on women experiencing in Intimate Partner Violence. Recently she has co-authored papers on the co-occurrence of physical, sexual and psychological IPV as well as the protective effects of relationship self-efficacy against mental health problems among women in bidirectionally aggressive intimate relationships.
