John E Beauvais PhD Clin
Assistant Professor of Psychiatry; Director, Clinical Neuropsychology Consultation Clinic; Director, Predoctoral Training in Psychology Service
I have broad clinical and research interests in the area of Clinical Neuropsychology. While I have recently been involved in research looking at the relationship between neuropsychological functioning and perfusion abnormalities in patients with a history of substance abuse, more recent interest has been in the area of neuropsychological functioning in patients with HIV infection. More specifically, my colleagues and I have been looking at the ability of a novel test of prospective memory to predict medication adherence. Also, of both clinical and research interest is my development of the Tactile Wisconsin Card Sorting Test, a measure that is used to evaluate executive functions in visually impaired populations.
