Research has focused on understanding definitions of childhood physical abuse in China. Additionally, efforts have been made to understand what constitutes acceptable physical disicpline of children.

Between my third and forth years of medical school, I spent a year teaching medical English at Central South Univeristy, Xiangya Medical School in Changsha, Hunan, China. This was part of teaching fellowhip through the Yale-China Association.
