The Yale Department of Psychiatry is very pleased to announce the appointment of Gina Franco as Associate Director of Medical Education Administration.
Franco will work under the direction of Jennifer Dolan-Auten, Director of Medical Education Administration, as the lead clerkship administrator. She will also manage other medical student programs such as electives, sub-internships, and PA program coordination, and will work closely with Jennifer Dolan-Auten and Vinod Srihari, MD, Associate Program Director for Psychiatry Residency Training, on residency education projects and program compliance.
Franco has been at Yale for 2 ½ years, and previously worked in the Department of Pediatrics, Section of Education, as the Clerkship and Residency Coordinator. She was the Senior Administrative Assistant to the Pediatric Section Chief of Education and to the Pediatric Program Director.
She has participated in various trainee wellness initiatives that focus on the prevention of resident burnout. In addition, she is a part-time health and wellness coach at CrossFit. She is a graduate of Wheelock College in Boston, where she majored in education.
