April 21, 2016

The medical journal Academic Psychiatry is featuring the work of 13 faculty members, trainees, and affiliates of the Yale Department of Psychiatry in a special issue dedicated to education in addictions.

Together, the 13 authors wrote five of the 15 papers in the collection, which the journal’s editor-in-chief, Laura Weiss Roberts, MD, MA, said presents “state-of-the-art and practical ways for academicians to enhance addiction training across disciplines and levels of education.”

“Yale Department of Psychiatry, Division of Substance Abuse, is a leader in the field of education and curriculum development,” said Ismene Petrakis, MD, professor of psychiatry and chief of psychiatry at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System. “The recent issue of Academic Psychiatry features a number of faculty from this division and highlights the importance and the national prominence of the division and the training programs it houses.”

The special issue may be read online by clicking here. It will be in print in June.

The five papers contributed by Yale authors are:
