Tsai launches Yale PsychTalk Podcast

March 09, 2016

Jack Tsai, PhD, assistant professor of psychiatry and director of the Yale Division of Mental Health Services and Treatment Outcomes Research, has launched the Yale PsychTalk Podcast.

Tsai will use the forum to interview mental health experts about a range of issues related to psychiatry. In the first Yale PsychTalk, Tsai has a casual conversation with Steven M. Southwick, MD, Glenn H. Greenberg Professor of Psychiatry, about his work and personal life.

The two are joined by Fausto Parra, a military veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. They discuss a range of issues, including trauma and resilience.

Tsai is a licensed clinical psychologist with dual appointments at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System and Yale School of Medicine. He has published over 120 peer-reviewed articles on topics related to homelessness, severe mental illness, trauma, and health disparities. He also runs The Tsai Lab at Yale, which completes projects that relate to understanding and providing services for disadvantaged populations, including those who are homeless and/or have severe mental illness.

Yale PsychTalk may also be reached from the Division of Mental Health Services and Treatment Outcomes Research website.
