David Calderwood, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Pharmacology, and Titus Boggon, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Pharmacology, have been awarded a four year, $1,390,200 research grant from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences. Their project, the Department's first dual PI grant, entitled, "Structure and function of the integrin-linked kinase-PINCH-parvin complex," is scheduled to begin August 17, 2009.

James Howe, Ph.D., Professor of Pharmacology, has been awarded a one year, $120,049 supplement under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. His research grant from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke entitled, "Single Channel Properties of Glutamate Receptors," continues through August 31, 2011.
