Children play in the waiting room at the Children’s and Family Health Center, the primary ambulatory teaching site for the Yale Combined Medicine/Pediatrics Residency Program. During visits for health supervision, physicians provide children with preventive care, screen them for diseases, and provide essential health information and guidance to parents. Topics related to health supervision appear throughout the Yale Primary Care Pediatrics Curriculum, which is used to guide outpatient pediatric teaching at Yale teaching clinics.
