I grew up in Madison Wisconsin and studied biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin before moving to Germany to study medicine at the Ludwig-Maximilian Universität in Munich and the Freie Universität in Berlin. For the last 20 years, while working at Seattle Children’s Hospital, Group Health in Seattle, and Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, I have focused on diagnostic approaches to complex neurodevelopmental disorders and medical care for families whose children have neurodevelopmental disabilities.
