Carl Baum, MD, FAAP, FACMT, is board-certified in both Pediatric Emergency Medicine and in Medical Toxicology, and has over 2 decades' experience in both subspecialties. He serves as attending physician in the Pediatric Emergency Department, and as Director of the state-funded Lead Poisoning and Regional Treatment Center [https://www.ynhh.org/childrens-hospital/services/toxicology-poisoning.aspx]. Nationally, Dr. Baum serves on the Council on Environmental Health of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and as Medical Director of the $5.7 million, federally funded Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit Program, National Office/West [http://www.pehsu.net].
