Message from the Pediatric Chief Residents

We are delighted to be able to introduce Yale Pediatrics. We loved our time in the program as residents and are honored to be leading the group this year as chief residents. To us, Yale has it all. A lively academic community offering every subspecialty, robust research mentorship, educational and curricular innovation, and a passion for learning all enveloped in the family that is Yale pediatrics. It is the interactions we have with our co-residents, fellows, faculty, and program directors that create a rich, rigorous, and personalized residency education allowing us to successfully pursue any career path from subspecialty academics to primary care to advocacy and global health. And New Haven is the perfect milieu! It is a dynamic and engaging place to live and work and many residents choose to stay permanently because they love it so much.

It is also an exceptionally diverse area both economically and demographically. As a referral center and a refugee resettlement center we see children from all over Connecticut and all over the world in equally varied clinical settings ranging from our primary care center and local suburban private practices to our Pediatric ICU and level I Pediatric Trauma center. There is something for everyone! You will be challenged to find your niche and work to expand knowledge and improve health for children everywhere. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions at all at We love talking about Yale pediatrics and can’t wait to meet you on interview day.
