Biographical Info

Dr. Mitchell is an autopsy, gastrointestinal and liver pathologist with particular interest in hepatobiliary neoplasia as well as a board certified forensic pathologist with special interest in medical autopsies. Dr. Mitchell received her medical degree from the University of the West Indies in Kingston Jamaican, following which she trained in anatomic and clinical pathology at George Washington University followed by a fellowship in forensic pathology at the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner's Office (University of South Florida) and a fellowship in gastrointestinal pathology at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Mitchell is primarily a morphologist keen on clinicopathologic correlation and the modernization of the autopsy.
