Dr. Barbieri graduated from Case Western Reserve University and Wayne State University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Yale New-Haven Hospital in 2013. Her research interests include areas in head and neck pathology, gastrointestinal pathology and quality improvement in surgical pathology. Dr. Barbieri is also a member of the Dean's Advisory Council for LGBTQI+ Affairs at Yale School of Medicine. She is actively involved in teaching medical students, residents and fellows.
