Carol Oladele is an associate research scientist at the Equity Research and Innovation Center (ERIC). As project director for Patient Reported Experiences of Discrimination in Care Tool (PreDict), she investigates discrimination in health care settings and its role in explaining disparities in outcomes for racial/ethnic minorities. Her background is in public health, with specific focus in health education and epidemiology. Carol’s research interests include investigating racial/ethnic disparities in non-communicable diseases (NCDs), socio-economic predictors of heart disease mortality, and the role of acculturation and diet in the development of NCDs in Caribbean populations. She received her Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of South Florida.
